About the Committee
Charge
To provide and support activities and opportunities which will enhance job performance, personal growth, and social interaction among all Bakersfield College employees, thereby developing a sense of campus community.
Goals (2022-23)
- Integrate the work of the committee with the work of Academic Technology as the lead dept. for PD at the college.
- Develop the use of PDC scholarship $$ and the return on investment to campus.
- Improve assessment and professional development effectiveness.
Professional Development Committee Scholarship
The Professional Development Committee also endeavors to offer small, equitably distributed professional development scholarships to all full-time BC faculty, staff, and administration. To apply for a PDC scholarship, complete the electronic Professional Development Committee Scholarship Application and submit it to akarr@bakersfieldcollege.edu.
