Bakersfield College is lead by a shared governance through committees. Administrators, classified, faculty, and students join together to make decisions and/or advise our leaders through the work and communication in these communities. Campuswide communities actively seek student participation and are called Participatory Committees. Some of these committees have executive boards and subcommittees, and advisory committees can also be found here. The Bakersfield College Student Government Association (BCSGA) also has several governing committees.
